Men, men, men ..

I'm not the biggest Dr. Phil fan, so I thought 'if it is a Monday or Wednesday when the kids are in preschool, then I will join'. It was monday, August 27! My American mother's group wanted to know if we had friends who wanted to join (If we could establish 10 or more, we could get ahead in the queue, as priority group). So I asked both in my Danish and international mother's group. There was only one second Dane, my friend C, who was interested. But, but, but .. There are many Dutch women in my international mother's group. Suddenly we were 2 Danes, 4 Americans, 2 Russians, and 5 Dutch women ...
Then there was the question of carpooling. It was a mess. Confusing, disorganised.. (guess it would be the same in Denmark - but since I didn't drive then, I'd lack the experience..)
I'll spare you the detail (too messy) but, let me say that sunday before we were to leave, we found that the people we were supposed to carpool with suddenly had decided that they would leave that same evening and stay overnight at the hotel. I and 2 friends were supoosed to travel with them- but one wasn't intersted in staying in LA overnight, the other I could not get a hold of. So the end of it was that I had to drive at 5 in the morning from us. (I was doing something that sunday night .. so it was quite ok .. just annoying, nothing worse, no major inconvenience ..)
That night I slept badly. I had to be up slightly over 4 and drive our car in the dark .. brr. Claus was ok to get the kids to preschool on bike (I pick them up about 2 times a week on the bike / in the jogging stroller.) And I had everything ready the night before. At 4.30 I staggered up (had bathed the night before) threw on a nice set of clothes - they were very much into that one should be in dark colors, and business casual) swallowed a mouthful of food - and then waited for Tatiana by the car ... Fortunately, she helped me to see the road at 56 and I-5 - for us to gather C up at an exit on I-5 (82-Ortega rd - just at a Chevron st). We drove probably 80-90 mph (130-150 km / hr) but there wasn't much traffic .. and we knew there would be traffic later ...
