Every year in December the botanical garden in Encinitas has Christmas lights put up. We're members so we get in for half the price. We wanted to do it earlier but everything kind of became postponed with Claus' visit to Denmark. We finally managed to go the 23rd. The place was crowded - as we had suspected..
We brought the double stroller - not that the distances are great, but when the kids are in the stroller in the dark, we know where they are - no running around frantically looking for them..
They got to meet Santa (and of course, got a candy cane, sigh!)
The lights were a beautiful sight..There was music, marshmallows you could roast (but the fire was so crowded that we avoided that), there was mulled wine and other things..
There even was a small Christmas-train... below.
We went to the craft-place - and as usual, the Christmas tree was decorated very innovatively and heavily inspired by sweets--

Even the little train was dressed up for Christmas!

When the kids were done with their crafts they were tired so we went home..
